Not counting my own, being a foreign guest to attend an Indian wedding in a village was a privilege, but also a culture shock to see all these things.

This is the first time in my life that I have been with a dog, Hachi, for ten consecutive days. Before I left, I burst into tears. I don’t know when I will see you again.

Not long after this trip, Curry Mom called and chatted about going to a banquet. Curry Boy explained further: 'It was a wedding without bride and groom.'

First time for me to experience Diwali. Lighting up to welcome the gods, playing fireworks, eating extravagantly, and almost burning the straw… Phew, luckily I'm still alive.

One of the transformations after marrying Curry Boy is the opportunity to experience a different way of life. Whenever I go back to India to visit family and friends, it is another extreme way of life. This time, still difficult and full of "surprises".
