If you want something truly local from Bristol, perhaps Pieminister is one of the options since they are a pie master originally launched from Bristol. And their pies can be bought as frozen!
Pieminister is a British casual eatery with several shops in Bristol serving hot pies.
My first try was at the Broad Quay branch. With a little research ahead, I had a Pie Meal – a Fungi Chicken pie with sides ‘Mothership’, which included mushy mint peas, mash, crispy onion and cheddar. I liked the pie was served piping hot in an overall proper size. My tummy didn’t feel too heavy after eating, but the taste could be much richer I think.
Another good reason of choosing ‘Mothership’ was the much-better presentation, compared to the others. Like Curry Boy ordered a normal pie with 2 regular sides, taste was ok, yet visually felt flat, as seen in the above picture.
Next time, you know how to choose. 😉
