Breakfast doesn’t have to be boring; and a delicious one can be made in real quick, like 10 minutes! These toast ideas are our morning routine. Tasty, easy and healthy.


Curry Boy, my husband, used to wake up first and prepare breakfast. He can get a peanut butter banana toast done in 10 minutes. I woke up with the The half-melted banana with a touch of cinnamon and sugar. It’s such a wonderful breakfast that always please me.

This kind of open toast is easy to make. Besides banana toast, we sometimes make cheesy tomato toast or avocado toast with eggs. Before I move on to the recipes, I must introduce you a kitchen gadget that I highly recommend — mini oven.

Peanut Butter Banana Toast

Instead of butter, spread peanut butter to every where on the toast, top with the classic combination: sliced banana, sprinkle over cinnamon powder and sugar, then toast.

Cheesy Tomato Rye Toast

Halve a few sweet and ripe cherry tomatoes and place on a toast. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper, dried herbs and a generous amount of cheese. Drizzle in a glug of olive oil. Bake in 200ºC for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and nicely burnt.

Avocado Toast with Egg

Make hard boiled eggs first. Put eggs into a pot of cold water and bring to a boil. Turn off the heat and leave the eggs in hot water for 12 minutes. Then soak in cold water, peel and slice.

Mash ½ avocado, add 1 tsp of mayonnaise, lemon juice, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well. Spread the mashed avocado on toast, top with sliced eggs, add a little more pepper if desired.
